Born in London, England in 1979, Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was the sole child of Caroline (Friend) (Friend), a classical violinist mom as well as Julian Pike, an opera singer father. She spent her childhood travelling across Europe as a result of her parents' work. Pike went to Badminton School in Bristol, England and was a part of the National Youth Theatre.
