  Kerstin Marianne Ekberg (Swedish pronunciation (listen), 29 September 1931-11 January 2015.) was an Swedish actress best known for her beautiful shape and beauty. Her iconic performance as Sylvia in Federico Fellini's film La Dolce Vita (1960) has made her famous. Ekberg primarily worked in Italy and was granted a permanent residence in the year 1964. Anita Ekberg was the eighth child in a family of eight. As a teenager, Anita worked as a fashion model. Ekberg upon the request of her mother in 1950 was a contestant in Miss Malmo.
